Our main club nights provide opportunities for players of all skill levels to play chess either casually or competitively. The club has experienced a huge growth in membership numbers in recent years and the sessions are very popular. The club facilities are excellent and have recently been extended and refurbished. New members of all abilities are welcome to join. Contact us below or just come to a session to join. The first session is free for all new players.

Basingstoke Chess Club provide several opportunities to play chess competitively. The club are members of the Southampton League and currently have 5 active teams of varying standards to cater for players of all abilities who wish to play competitively. The club also hold annual internal competitions to determine the club champion for the year. A separate competition for those of lower ability is also held to encourage all players to compete.
